Trip Reports

When researching what to expect on my very first trip in a British Airways business class cabin, I was somewhat underwhelmed by the information offered on ba.com (since then much improved). After searching a little further, I came across a typical quirky Internet phenomenon: trip reports.

Trip Reports are generally written by airline enthousiasts (or those who like to keep themselves busy during flights). The best include detailed descriptions and pictures of the flight experience. I find they’re a much more fun and truthful way of finding out what to expect from an airline, than the boring product presentation pages on an airline’s website. The largest collection of detailed trip reports can be found at at airliners.net or at flytertalk.com.

Two of my favourites:

BA Next Generation Club World: written by fbgdavidson, one of the Internet’s best trip report authors

Singapore Airlines LHR-SIN: hilariously detailed, and this is only the first part!
